Subject Matter Experts (SME)

APGNN is excited to announce the launch of a Subject Matter Experts (SME) list to support our membership. SME are current APGNN members that have been identified by the APGNN Board as a result of their engagement with the organization and area of clinical expertise. Each SME has agreed to be contacted by members with questions on practice style, disease management, medication options, available data / resources etc. All APGNN members can access the names and contact information for the SME through our locked members only section of the website. We are excited to have experts in numerous areas including Core GI, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Hepatology, Motility, Intestinal Rehabilitation, Feeding / Nutrition and Disorders of Gut Brain Interaction. Thank you to our experts for supporting APGNN members!

SME Identification: 

• APGNN member identified by the board or committee members as a result of engagement with APGNN and expertise
• APGNN member self nomination 

Qualifications: 

• Any APGNN member in good standing and active engagement in a committee or project within the last 2 years (NP, PA, RN, and associate members)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in an identified area of expertise, 10+ years preferred

Term: 

• Minimum commitment of 2 years with no maximum. Must be active in clinical practice to continue SME participation
